our love story
Our story began on a sunny day in June 2020 when we crossed paths on a boat in Miami. However, it wasn't until December of that year that our paths converged once more. A friend brought Lakeyn over to a gathering at Daniel's house, and that's when sparks truly flew.
From the very start, it was clear that we shared many common interests. Our love of animals, cherished moments with family and friends, traveling, food, sipping mezcal, and music — especially music— which mostly consisted of talking about and listening to the Grateful Dead. These shared interests became the threads that wove the fabric of our connection.
Fast forward to July 17, 2023, a day etched in our hearts forever. It followed an unforgettable experience—attending the final three Dead & Company shows in San Francisco. At the summit of Jordan Winery in beautiful Sonoma County, California, Daniel chose this perfect moment to propose to Lakeyn. It was a surprise filled with love and emotion, marking the beginning of our forever journey.
Beyond our love story, we share a passion for adventure and embracing new experiences. We've explored many countries, but our favorite adventure is an annual pilgrimage to Burning Man. It's a place where our spirits truly soar, and we revel in the freedom and creativity of the desert.
At home, we find joy in the simple pleasures of life. We love spending time with our dogs, Woody and Mr. Charlie, and taking them on walks to the park. We enjoy nights out with close friends and weekly Shabbat dinners with Daniel’s family. While we enjoy dining out, there's a special magic in cooking together at home.
As we embark on this incredible journey of marriage, we are excited to continue writing the chapters of our story together, guided by love, laughter, shared experiences, music, and the promise of many more adventures together.
